Do you have any offers in hand [closed]

Recently, I was asked by an interviewer that - "Do you already have any job offer in hand ?". I am wondering, what could be the intention behind asking this question. What the answer suggests to interviewer? I mean what kind of information he wants dig through this question?

YES answer - Does this means that the candidate already has an offer,.. so he wont take this offer seriously and turn out to somebody else. OR
No answer - Does this means that candidate is not able to get through any of the interviews before..

Help me to understand this ..
